Family

Heidelberg University has been certified as a family-friendly university since 2010 and promotes the compatibility of family, career and academic life. Within the framework of “services for families” the General University Sport contributes to this goal through a number of sports courses geared to the families and children of the university's students and staff.

The family area is being developed. The range of offers will be gradually expanded.

The participation terms of the General University Sport also apply to the family offers. Note to parents: As children are not members of the university they are not covered by casualty insurance through the General University Sport or Heidelberg University. Claims regarding accidents need to be submitted to your own health insurance or casualty insurance company. We recommend taking out a personal casualty insurance.
