Planned Sports Offers for Children
Weekly Programmes
Our weekly courses for children and families provide children with age-appropriate physical activities led by qualified instructors. The programme includes a variety of offers for both children and parents.
For Children
Being physically active benefits not only the health of children but also their personal development. Thus, our sports programme offers not only traditional sports but a range of options for exercising and acquiring an awareness of one's own body. In this, having fun and enjoying physical activity is always the top priority.
For Parents
Parents can relax knowing that their children are being well cared for in a supervised exercising programme. Furthermore, we aim to create a space for them to connect with one another, to unwind from the stress and routine of everyday life and to provide them with ideas and courses for spending their free time together with their children.
Adults are also welcome to make use of the regular programme of the General University Sport, which features a wide variety of activities.
Workshops
Workshops enable participants to try out something new or to brush up or build on existing abilities. For children and their families we offer workshops in certain sports.
A healthy and active lifestyle may be difficult to reconcile with the multiple burdens of work, school and family. That is why we are developing health-related workshops that give guidance on how to make healthy living and physical activity “child's play” — even in the midst of a hectic family routine. At the same time, parents learn how to incorporate exercising with their children into the family life.
Holiday Child Care
During school holidays, we offer exciting sports and exercising options for children as well as childcare for parents who need to work during the holidays. For one week at a time, children may look forward to fun, sports, games and action in the ISSW facilities. They will be supervised by qualified instructors, who know great games and activities for all the children.
Depending on the time of the year, these holiday weeks are planned around specific themes. The respective activities and exercises will be based on the age and skill level of the participating children.
Through our partnerships with other providers and subject to availability, we may also arrange summer camps for teens, e.g. surf camps. These camps offer all-day supervision and sports classes led by experienced and certified staff.
